The Evil Eye (Russian Superstition)

Superstition lingers at the edges. For this collaborative piece, we unearthed the mythos of the Russian evil eye—its anxieties and rituals—through a tapestry of sound and animation. The heart of the project: a real phone call, its voices warped and woven into a sonic landscape that shifts between memory and myth.

Working with two visual artists, we shaped every frame and fragment together—storyboard, script, and concept—letting each discipline bleed into the next. The result is a living folklore: animations pulse with unease, while the sound design twists the interview’s textures into something uncanny and immersive. Here, belief and fear blur, echoing through every spectral detail.
